Our Story

It all began in 1955 when our grandfather, Jesse J. Wilson, purchased a piece of property and built the foundation of Wilson Auto Sales with his own hands, alongside his father and brothers. Starting with just one car – a 1936 Ford parked at the corner of Routes 40 and 281 – he sold vehicles one at a time for $100 each. Through hard work, determination, and an unmatched eye for value, he grew the business into a thriving wholesale operation, buying and selling cars across the Pittsburgh area.

Our father, Richard J. Wilson, continued this legacy, learning the art of the trade from Jesse and becoming a master at wholesaling used cars. He had an incredible ability to know the value of a car within $25, a skill that set him apart in the industry. For decades, he worked tirelessly to build relationships, provide quality vehicles, and pass on his expertise to the next generation.

Now, as the third generation of Wilsons, we – Ricky J. Wilson, Nick Wilson, and Anthony Wilson – are honored to take the reins and continue the family tradition. With the recent passing of our father on January 11, 2025, we are more committed than ever to upholding the values he and our grandfather instilled in us: honesty, hard work, and a dedication to serving our customers like family.
